Driving around Donner Summit and Serene Lakes this Thanksgiving holiday was like driving through a winter wonderland. It’s what brings us all here. It was so beautiful today, very cold and crisp, with blue skies and puffy white clouds. You could spy cross country skiers through the woods while driving on Hillside. The sledding hill was open with kids of all ages laughing and having a good time. Sugar Bowl is open. And Royal Gorge opened today too. We got a foot of snow in the last storm Monday/Tuesday. The roads are in great shape, so come on up and enjoy the snow!
