There is a great local weather reporter with a focus on Sugar Bowl and Donner Summit weather. Starting with the first snow storm of the season, Dan Tackett provides regular detailed reporting right to your inbox. I love them. To sign up just send Dan an email to da************@****ca.gov.
I also love Magnifeye.com. It’s a one-stop resource for I-80 webcams, current road conditions, up-to-the-moment chain control, CHP incidents, and a few excellent weather links. If there is any chance of weather, I look at that site multiple times a day.
